2016 Wayne Soccer Hall of Fame Inductees

Hello everyone!! There are a few upcoming alumni events coming up:
Wednesday September 21st will be the Alumni Soccer Games. The Women will play at 6pm and the Men at 7pm. Cost is $10 and will include a t-shirt. We will start the games with the “older” (1950-2002ish) alumni playing first, so they old timers can get a few minutes in before the younger alumni can jump in. That way, we encourage all to come out and play.

We will have our 4th Wayne Soccer Hall of Fame Induction homecoming weekend on Saturday September 24th at halftime of the Boys Varsity game.

Following the homecoming game there will be a reception at Ontario Country Club for any alumni and friends to celebrate the hall of fame inductees. Appetizers will be provided. This celebration is open for friends and family of Wayne Soccer.

Looking For Contributors

For various reasons, we don’t have access to as many sources of information that we once did for this website.  So the following would be helpful:

  • Send info and/or links that would be appropriate Alumni News items.  Any news and info of interest to alumni. Start with “Contact>Submit News” on the menu.
  • Additional people willing to contribute and write the short Alumni News and Announcements that appear on the front page Blog.  It is relatively easy to setup other contributors on the new website.  Click on the contact link above on the main menu to let us know you are interested.
  • Reunion Info – Some people still come here looking for this.  If no one sends the info in, it won’t likely appear here.  You can submit reunion info at “Contact>Submit Reunion“
  • Yearbook photos – we have a decent but limited supply of yearbooks, but they have already been heavily mined.  Many years are not represented.  Dust off those printer/scanners and send some pictures.  Worst case, try to use your phone camera.  You can submit a small number of photos (up to five) using “Contact>Submit Photo(s)“
  • Current Wayne Sports notable news or events.  Many people still like to hear about the Wayne athletic teams, and though we probably can’t cover it all, occasional updates would be good to pass along here.  This can be passed along using the Alumni News submission link above.
