SYRACUSE/FORMERLY OF ONTARIO, NY: Passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the age of 65 in Syracuse, NY. Alan was born on October 12, 1950, in Rochester, NY to the late Wilbur “Jim” James Brasser, Jr., and Elizabeth “Betty” Burke. Alan was predeceased by his parents, and brother Thomas. He is survived by his sister Mary Lou Tellier; brother, Richard (Deana) Brasser; aunt, Irma Norton; nieces, nephews, extended family and many special friends. Alan was a graduate of the Wayne Central School District and was formerly the Director of Transportation for the Wayne Central School District in Ontario, NY and later the Auburn City School District, in Auburn, NY. He had spent the last several years residing at the Regency Towers in Syracuse, NY. Alan spent four years serving his country with the United States Coast Guard. In his younger years, Alan enjoyed boating and spending time on Lake Ontario. Friends and family are invited to gather on Monday, October 26, 2015, at 10AM for a celebration of Alan’s life at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519. Interment will take place in Oakwood Cemetery, Penfield, NY.
