Mr. Hetu was born in Ontario, NY to the late Joseph Hetu and Josephine Agnel Hetu. He was an alumnus of John Wesley University and Kings College. He retired from Westchester County School District as a physical education teacher to special education students. Bob was the head of the recreation department for the town of Ossinind and served as the Girls soccer coach at Kings College. He was a pro soccer player for Great Britian. Bob was an active member, Sunday school teacher, and choir singer at Five Forks Baptist Church. He was a volunteer for Grandparents Raising Grandchildren and a mentor of the Young Men’s addiction program, both located in Danbury, CT. Bob was a giving servant with a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed coaching soccer, but his greatest achievement in life was being Mr. Mom to his loving daughter Mac-E. Surviving, in addition to his wife, is a daughter, McKenzie (Mac-E) Hetu; a brother Michael Hetu with wife Marjoke; a sister Marie Tremble with husband Roger; and in-laws Alvaro and Fedlina Delostrico. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 12 noon Saturday at Five Forks Baptist Church. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Five Forks Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Five Forks Baptist Church 112 Batesville Road, Simpsonville SC 29681.
