Lacy (Bud) Harris
Marion/Ontario, NY: Age 64, died February 18, after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his fiancée & loving best friend, Betsy Orbaker; children, Michelle (Drew) Brady, Stephens City, VA, Kirt, Parma, OH, & Lynn Anne (Mark) Batzold, Wolcott, NY; grandchildren, Matthew & Elizabeth Brady, Bay & Cove Batzold; sister, Sharon (John) VanDusen, Supply, NC; brother, Gary (Debbie) Harris, Raeford, NC. He was predeceased by his parents, Lacy & Dorothy Harris of Webster. Lacy was a retired NYS Certified Fire Instructor, former Ontario Fireman, & a member of the Ontario Firemen's Exempt Club. He owned Wayne County's only full time fire & safety business, PATI Accs. & Equipment Company. He loved cooking, hunting, boating, camping, being a DJ, & NASCAR racing. Lacy will be sadly missed & always remembered for his wonderful sense of humor & business ethics by his loving family & many, many friends. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Lifetime Care, Newark & the staff at Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center & Gene & Joyce for the wonderful care & devotion shown to Lacy during his illness. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 28, 2009, 2:00 p.m., at the Ontario Exempt Hall, 6160 Walter Cone Dr, Ontario.
