Williamson: Fred passed away at the age of 59 on April 10, 2026 at his home after a long battle with colon cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 18, 1966, in Rochester to Fred McCall Sr. and Rosalind McCall, Fred was raised in Ontario, NY and was a graduate of Wayne Central School. He was strong, dependable, soft spoken, and absolutely hilarious if you could keep up with his sense of humor – which is something he maintained even in his final days. Fred’s daughters were his pride and joy and he loved spending time with them traveling, going to movies, dinners, and being there for them during all of life’s adventures. Whether it meant moving them around the country or helping them remodel their home, Fred was there. Fred loved his daughters and family very much and the only thing that came close was his love for trucks and trucking. This passion was shared by his brother Bob and his sister-in-law Julie, with whom he was incredibly close. He lit up when talking about his work and his adventures in traveling around the country. Fred had an incredible ability to make people feel comfortable. He was humble and would never assert his own needs over others. His strength was never more evident than in his battle with cancer. He showed up every other week for chemo for years, and then returned back to work just like nothing had happened. The absence he is leaving in the lives of those that loved him is immeasurable. Fred is survived by his daughters Kira (Raubyan) McCall and Cassie McCall. Mother Rosalind McCall. Siblings Renee (Roger) Hall, Rana Larner, Tim (Pam) McCall, Bob (Julie) McCall, and Jody McCall. His nieces Taylor (Ryan) Polmanteer and Brianna McCall were like a second set of daughters to him. His great niece and nephews Heick, Henrik and Harlynn Polmanteer who lovingly called him “Gruncle,” brought him so much joy. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Fred McCall Sr. There will be no services held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
