Welcome to the Wayne Central Alumni Web Site, which was started in November 1997. The purpose of this Web Site is to provide an on-line gathering point for alumni to read alumni news, get reunion information, contact each other, post a bio, photo, or link to a personal website. There are also quite a few photos that have been scanned from yearbooks posted in various pages here. Hopefully you'll find it enjoyable and useful for keeping in touch with your former classmates.

- Bob Dierna 130lb Section V Champ
- Tory Cain 140lb Section V Champ
- Al Dierna 103lb Super Sectional Champ
- Bob Dierna 130lb Super Sectional Champ
- Vinny DiGravio 140lb Super Sectional Champ
- Al Dierna 103lb State Champ
Wayne was 5-2 in dual meets, and won 3 tournaments. Congratulations to the Wayne Wrestlers on a fine season.

Jim Henderson '64 Featured in D&C Article
Jim Henderson '64 who is the New Orleans Saints play-by-play announcer on radio is one of the subjects of this story in the D&C.

Still Wayne's #1 Fan
A photo of Frankie Urbanik taken at last weeks Wayne basketball game. I doubt there is any other person, except maybe Bernie Porray, who has attended more Wayne Central sporting events over the years.

Cory English '85 on TV Tonight
Sorry for short notice, but I've heard Cory English '85 will be performing during the Broadcast of the Kennedy Center Honors tonight. Look for him as Igor from Young Frankenstein in the tribute to Mel Brooks. Should be 9PM EST on CBS, but check local listings.

Wayne Wrestling Alumni Night
The annual Wayne Wrestling Alumni night is Dec 23rd. Wayne is taking on North Rose-Wolcott and JV start is 6:30, Varsity 7PM.

Class of 1980 Takes the Lead
Since I've been keeping track of the number of alumni registrations by class, which has been 4 or 5 years, the Class of 1991 has been either 1st or tied for first. They finally have been overtaken. The Class of 1980 now has the most alumni registrations with 75!

Girls Volleyball Wins Sectional Title
Congratulations to the Girls Volleyball Team for winning the Section V Class B Championship. They defeated Livonia who had beat Wayne in two close matches during the regular season.
