Dec. 30, 2004 - I have completed scanning the 35mm negatives taken in 1974 by Scott Stead. For photos taken of Varsity Basketball, go here. For photos of JV Basketball (classes of 76, 77), go here.
Also, Scott had some negatives taken at the 1974 Finger Lakes Wrestling Tournament, so I added those here.

Section 5 Track and Field page comes and goes. Check through the Main Section V Page
Wayne Central is in the process of constructing a track and field records display board for both girls and boys. Unfortunately, we cannot locate the records for the girls. If you have any information regarding female athlete records in track for Wayne Central or know of someone that does, please have them contact croods@wayne.k12.ny.us as soon as possible. Thank you for any help that you can provide.

Bernie Porray's Scrapbooks
When I started researching past Wayne Basketball teams, I called Bernie and he invited me over to his house and we talked about sports. He seemed to remember every athlete he ever covered for Wayne. He graciously loaned me his scrapbooks and I was able to scan them and make them available here. I only had scanned the decade of the 70's before he passed away. With any luck, I can arrange to scan the rest of them at some point.
I tried very hard to find a way to keep the file sizes to a minimum and keep the quality. I tried many file formats, I even tried to use optical character recognition, but it would have taken me years. So the format I ended up with is PDF, which is viewed with Adobe Acrobat Reader.
If you don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader, I would get it. It is available for free from Adobe. Click on the Icon below to download it.
Viewing the Scrapbooks
As I mentioned, these files are substantial size. Some are near 10 MB. I have not tested these using a modem, but according to the documentation, they hopefully are downloaded one page at-a-time. Using Road Runner, it worked fine, but I would like some feedback if you have problems. It could be VERY sluggish on a modem. Try it and let me know.
This is what I have so far. This activity is on hold at the present time.
